Step back in time in the heart of downtown Frederiksted. The great house at Casa Del Oro was built pre-1790 as the parsonage for the Danish Lutheran church up the hill from the property. The parsonage was located there until the mid-1950's when the property went into private ownership. The compound houses the great house which is nearing completion of thoughtful renovation. A quaint rental cottage and three other one bedroom apartments, all with fully equipped kitchens, are available for nightly, weekly or monthly rental within the historic courtyard. Perfect for singles, couples or families. The courtyard is blessed with an ancient Baobab (the 3rd oldest tree on island), Lignam Vitae and other flowering tropical trees. The former carriage house has been converted into a furnished outdoor patio area with a double BBQ for guests to enjoy. The 'in-town' location, just 3 short blocks from Frederiksted's beautiful waterfront, allows guests to easily walk to restaurants, museums, bars, shopping, snorkeling and diving. Step through the wrought iron gates into the charm of years gone by.
